2015 - A Good Year Already
2014 has been a fantastic year sounds wise, and 2015 is shaping up already to be as good, if not better.
The mighty Cardinal Fuzz have already announced new vinyl from Anthropropph ('UFO') and You're Smiling Now But We'll All Turn Into Demons ('Population IV') - both released 26th January, and pre-orders from 5th Jan. As well as that they have announced that they have a limited number of the new The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol vinyl ('Pathfinder'). Dead Sea Apes have a new one coming in April I believe, and I assume that'll arrive via CF and the Cult Of Dom Keller have a new one due in 2015.
Rocket Recordings have just today announced that pre-orders are open for Collisions 04 -split album featuring Evil Blizzard and Mamuthones, which will arrive in January, and then they have the much anticipate Hey Colossus 'In Black and Gold' landing in Feb.
The God Unknown singles club will continue and promises some real treats, amongst the coming goodies we have: Acid Mothers Temple / Anthroprophh (GOD002, Oneida / Teeth of the Sea (GOD003), Carlton Melton / Mind Mountain (GOD004),Cloudland Canyon / Lorelle Meets the Obsolete (GOD005)and White Hills / Mugstar (GOD006).
Fruits de Mer will no doubt unveil some more 7" goodness over the coming months, as well as 2 live events - May 24, 2015 'Games for May' Half Moon, Putney, London and August 7-9, 2015 'The 13th Dream of Dr Sardonicus' Festival in Cardigan, Wales fedaturing, among others, Bevis Frond, Earthling Society, Sendelica, Astralasia and The Luck Of Eden Hall.
Still on the live front, the highlight must be The Heads at Roadburn. A new Heads LP should surface as should a new one from Kandodo. There will also be new vinyl from The Myrrors, Mugstar and probably about 5 new ones from Acid Mothers Temple!
2014 is dead, long live 2015!
